Advices & FAQS

Advices for visitors

Glacier 3000 is a VERY high mountain resort and it's essential to be well prepared for your visit.

At an altitude of 3,000 metres, the views are exceptional, but the conditions can be extreme. It's very important to be aware of the weather conditions and to wear appropriate clothing:

  • In winter: warm boots, ski pants, warm jacket, gloves, hat, sunglasses and sun cream

  • In summer: mountain boots, wind jacket, sunglasses and sun cream

  • In autumn and spring, it can snow at any time or be very warm. Depending on the weather, dress as you would for winter or summer.

Up there, the mountains always have the last word. Conditions can change very quickly. Winds gusting over 80km/h can force us to close our facilities. We always give opening forecasts, but we have to adapt to current conditions.

  • Before you leave, check our live opening forecast

  • Our webcams can give you an indication of the conditions at 3,000 meters.

  • If you have several days at your disposal, choose the best day to enjoy a clear view and the one with the least wind to ensure your visit.
