Also called via ferrata Rocher Jaune, this fixed rope route rated K5, is in a big, beautiful, 300m high, yellow rock wall. Facing north it will offer you pleasant temperatures during warm days with views going from the alpine mountains to the blue lakes.

This fixed rope route at Glacier 3000 is situated in an exposed location and has some challenging passages that require lots of strength. The route goes over the Rocher Jaune, a yellow outcrop with several exposed sections and overhanging ladders. The Via Ferrata Gemskopf has a K5 level of difficulty and is located at the cable car middle station Cabane. You will find the signposted mountain trail “Cabane des Diablerets” and get to the start of the fixed rope route via the SAC hut. Get excited about an adventurous trip into the vertical with a fantastic view over the Saanenland.

The fixed rope route is accessible with the cable car Col du Pillon – Cabane or alternatively on foot on the hiking trail from Col du Pillon within 3 hours and from Reusch within 4 hours.

Safety Instructions

To go on the fixed rope route it is essential that one is in good physical shape, sure-footed, free from vertigo, has the appropriate equipment and knowledge about proper conduct on a mountain. It is recommended that a mountain guide accompanies you. Only climb if the weather is good. In case the weather changes or there is a thunderstorm risk, then leave the route.
