Col du Pillon–Scex Rouge
The challenging mountain hike
The hike, for those who are in good physical condition, begins at Col du Pillon near the Glacier 3000 valley station and takes over 4 hours. A windy mountain path takes you to the SAC hut Cabane des Diablerets at 2’500 metres. Afterwards the path continues to climb steeply to a passage over the eternal snow of the glacier before arriving finally at the goal: the mountain station Scex Rouge. Enjoy the spectacular panorama and let yourself be spoiled by culinary delights on the Restaurant Botta terrace. The cable car to the valley station departs every 20 minutes. Whoever has enough energy left, can hike back down to valley in about two and a half hours.
